Promptwatch alternatives

The right Promptwatch alternatives come down to what pushed you out. To track your brand for less: Placton from $59, with five AIs, a writer and two seats, or Otterly.AI from $29. For a whole team: Peec AI at $95. Placton replaces only the tracking, so if you rely on crawler logs or publishing, stay.

Promptwatch alternatives by why you are leaving

Start from the reason, not from a ranking. Entry prices are monthly and come from each maker’s own page, read November 2, 2026.

Logs, publishing, API and tracking in a single toolStay on Promptwatch$245You give up: Nothing. On this list, no tool we read matches that bundle at that price.

Does “alternative” fit? Only from below. Promptwatch does much more than Placton: logs, attribution, publishing, agents, API. Placton is the swap if all you do in Promptwatch is see what the AIs say about your brand, and you want to pay less, seat more people or get drafts without moving to $245.

The number most lists skip. Fifty prompts on five AIs every day take 7,500 answers a month, and Essential stops at 6,000. Try it with your own numbers.

Promptwatch pricing: what each plan actually buys

Promptwatch, from Promptwatch B.V. in Amsterdam, sells a full loop: track the answers, find the gaps, write the content, publish it, then watch crawlers and visits. That is the pitch across its site. The plan most people try first holds the tracking half. Figures per its pricing page, read .

Prices also appear in euros: €85, €205 and €499 a month. Yearly billing charges 10 months for 12. WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Slack, Cursor, Lovable, Claude and ChatGPT connect on every plan.

  • Article counts are shared. The table shows articles and refresh on two rows, but its help says one quota covers new articles, refreshes and the Content Agent, across all your projects. Five on Professional means five in total.
  • Your plan may not match this table. Its help says your limits are those of the packaging current when you last started or changed your plan, and its changelog moves fast: hourly tracking arrived on October 28, 2026. Older lists quoting different article counts may simply be describing older packaging.
  • Business has no self-serve trial. Trials stop at Professional, so the only plan with shopping, city data and the automatic agent starts with a sales demo.
  • Agency plans are a different shape. Kick-off, Growth and Scale drop the project and prompt limits, add 10 seats, and also drop articles, the knowledge base and the Content Agent. More on that in the agency section.

Why teams start looking for alternatives to Promptwatch

The usual complaints, checked against what its own pages say today. Some hold up, one is out of date, and one rests on very little.

  • Holds up

    One seat at $95

Essential has 1 seat, Professional 2, Business 5, and pending invitations count. Its help lists only credits and articles as add-ons, so a third colleague points you to $579, or to the agency plan at $199, with 10 seats and no articles.

  • Holds up

The content sits a plan higher

Its pricing page opens by selling content built to raise your AI visibility, yet Essential includes no articles, no refresh and no knowledge base. The first 5 articles arrive at $245, and that quota is shared across new pieces, refreshes and the Content Agent.

  • Holds up

    Crawler logs start at $245

Promptwatch makes much of knowing when AI agents read your site. That view, 25 million log events, begins on Professional. Peec AI lists crawl insights on its $95 Starter, the widest price gap we found on any single feature.

  • Holds up

A big step to five brands

From 1 project at $95 to 5 at $579, with 2 in between. That works out at $115.80 per project. Agency plans remove the project limit from $199, but they drop articles, the knowledge base and the Content Agent.

  • Out of date, mostly

    “Only 4 of 11 models”

Plenty of lists still say this. The pricing table now reads “Track all models” on every plan, with 14 model rows, and its help says there is no cap on models. The limit moved rather than vanished: responses now do the job the model count used to do.

  • Thin evidence

Credits that run out, a product that sprawls

Reviewers on G2 mention a learning curve, and another vendor’s review quotes a G2 buyer on credits draining fast. The base is small and we could not read that review itself. If you only check one visibility number a week, though, you are paying for a lot of screens.

The response cap: how far 6,000 answers really go

Its help gives the formula: prompts × models × runs. Its own example is 50 × 4 × 30 = 6,000, which is the Essential cap. So Essential buys 200 pairs of question and AI a day, however you split them. Move the sliders and see which plan your setup needs.

50 × 5 × 30 days = 7,500 answers a month.

Promptwatch

Professional, $245 a month. 18,000 answers, 2 seats, 5 articles. Essential at $95 would stop at 6,000 answers.

Placton

Growth, $129 a month. 75 questions, about 5,400 answers (two AIs daily, three weekly), 10 seats, 15 texts.

Our math from the published formula, with 30 runs a month. Placton’s count is approximate: 72 answers per prompt a month, from two AIs daily and three weekly. It has no cap, and it only asks its five.

The ratio never improves. Every plan gives four answers per prompt per day: 6,000 for 50, 18,000 for 150, 42,000 for 350. A larger plan buys more questions, not more AIs per question. Its help suggests starting with three core platforms and adding others deliberately, because a model nobody in your market uses burns responses.

When it runs out, it stops. Once the limit is reached, no further responses are generated and monitoring pauses until the period resets or you raise the limit. Add-ons raise credits and articles, not responses. Running weekly to save quota is possible only if sales enables it for your organization, and tracking several times a day spends more, on Business and Agency Scale only.

  • AI tracker with a writer

    PlactonOur product

    $59/ month

    $602 billed yearly ($50.17 a month). Growth is $129 and Scale $299.

Best for: People who open Promptwatch to see what the AIs say about their brand and its rivals, and who want that for less, with more than one person looking. Starter also drafts 5 texts a month, a level Promptwatch reaches at $245. Growth at $129 has 75 prompts and 10 seats, against 50 and 1 at $95.

Weak point: No crawler logs, visit analytics, API, MCP, publishing or page refresh. It skips Gemini, AI Mode and Copilot. Three of its five AIs (Claude, Perplexity, Grok) refresh weekly and are asked by API, with live search.

    Swaps for
The tracking half of Promptwatch, plus first drafts. Not the logs, the agents or the integrations.
    Includes
    20, 75 or 250 prompts; 5, 15 or 40 texts; 2, 10 or unlimited seats. 3, 5 or 8 improvement tasks a week. No answer cap to watch.
    AIs
ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity and Grok. ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews daily*, the other three weekly.
    Try it
7 days, no card, 10 prompts and 1 text. Nothing is charged at the end.

  • AI tracker only

    Otterly.AI

    $29/ month

$25 billed yearly. The next plans are $189 and $489.

Best for: The lowest bill that still refreshes every day and lets everyone log in. It works when 15 questions cover your category.

Weak point: The next step is steep: API, MCP and Agent Analytics wait for Standard at $189. Claude, AI Mode and Gemini are extras, and it has no Grok.

    Swaps for
Daily tracking at a small scale
    Includes
15, 100 or 400 prompts, daily, unlimited team members
    AIs

Best for: The most direct swap: the same $95, the same 50 prompts, and every colleague gets a login. Crawl insights (4.5 million bot visits) and AI referrals are on Starter, MCP too.

Weak point: Three active models below Enterprise, and 4,500 answers a month against 6,000. The API starts on Pro at $245. Claude and Grok appear only as API models on Enterprise.

    LLM Pulse

    $58/ month

€49 is its list price; it converts to dollars at the daily rate. $48 billed yearly. Daily refresh on the same plan is $93 ($78 billed yearly).

Best for: More questions for the money when one read a week is enough: 50 prompts on five AIs at $58, with its GEO Writer and MCP on the entry plan. On prompts per dollar it beats our Starter.

Weak point: Weekly by default, and daily data costs $93. Claude, Grok and Copilot are paid add-ons, and the 14-day trial asks for a payment method.

    Swaps for
Tracking and a light writer, weekly
    Includes
50, 150 or 450 prompts, unlimited team members, recommendations, GEO Writer and MCP

Labeled “limited time only” on its page.

Best for: Sheer volume on a budget: 500 prompts and ten named AIs, with unlimited projects and seats, CSV and an API.

Weak point: It refreshes at least weekly rather than daily, the $79 is labeled limited time, and we read no article writer on the plan.

    Swaps for
    Tracking at high volume
    Includes
500 prompts, unlimited team members and projects, prompt volume estimates, CSV export and API

Best for: Several brands without the jump to $579: 5 projects and 75 prompts on the entry plan, seats for everyone, API and MCP. It comes from SE Ranking, if you want that suite alongside.

Weak point: Its pricing page names no Perplexity and keeps Claude for the top plan. Its own blog and pricing page differ on prompts and engines, so check the plan before you buy.

    Swaps for
    Tracking across several brands
    Includes
75, 200 or 1,000 prompts, about 11,250, 30,000 or 180,000 answers a month, 5, 10 or 30 projects, unlimited seats, API, MCP and Data Studio

Weak point: Three AIs on self-serve plans, with 1 user and 1 project on Starter. No Claude, Perplexity or Grok below Enterprise.

Best for: One brand with room in the budget that wants audits next to tracking: 125 prompts, 5 licenses and 5 audits a month.

Weak point: One workspace, no API on Core, and four AIs. When we read it on October 24, answers refreshed every 72 hours by default after a prompt’s first two weeks.

Best for: Testing free, then 11 models with unlimited prompts and users, paying for answers instead of questions.

Weak point: A wide step from free to $295, and 3,600 credits are 3,600 answers, fewer than Essential’s 6,000.

Best for: Companies whose procurement team wants SSO, SAML and SOC 2, and agents working across a large team.

Weak point: No list price for brands, and its trial uses preset prompts. If cost is why you are leaving, you are moving in the wrong direction.

* On paid plans. ChatGPT is read on chatgpt.com in every country Placton tracks except Venezuela and Puerto Rico, where it is asked weekly through its API.

Also named, not listed. Rankscale, ZipTie, Omnia, Orchly, RadarKit, Visiblee, Geoptie, Promptmonitor and Kitbase all came up in the AI answers below or in Google’s top results. We left them out because we have not gone through their price tables for this review. ZipTie and Rankscale in particular are worth a look if you want to build a plan around your own volume. Sitechecker pitches rank tracking, Search Console, GA4 and a site audit alongside AI visibility, and its page is short and clear, but we did not read its price table either.

A category mix-up to watch for. The first result on desktop Google for this search lists BabyLoveGrowth, Byword, Content Gorilla, Outrank and SEO Content Machine. Those are automated SEO writers, described there with no AI answer tracking, so at most they stand in for the Content Agent. If you want writing and tracking from separate vendors, that pairing is an option. If you want tracking, it does not help.

* On paid plans. ChatGPT is read on chatgpt.com in every country Placton tracks except Venezuela and Puerto Rico, where it is asked weekly through its API. Otterly.AI: 15 × 4 × 30, our math. Writesonic: 50 answers a day × 30, our math. Peec AI’s yearly price was read on October 24, 2026; the other figures on November 2, 2026. SE Visible showed us euros. VAT and sales tax are extra.

Compare answers, not logos. Prompts tell you how many questions you watch, and answers tell you how much data you get. On answers per dollar at entry, SE Visible and Promptwatch lead the group, if the euro price holds for you. On prompts per dollar, LLMrefs leads by far, on a weekly refresh.

Prompt plans and credit plans behave differently. A prompt plan fixes the bill and leaves your data to its cadence. A credit plan, like AthenaHQ’s, or a response plan, like Promptwatch’s, spends faster the more AIs you add. If you report to a client or a manager every month, the fixed version is easier to defend. If your volume swings, the metered one is fairer.

Going deeper on two of them. We keep full breakdowns of what Peec AI charges and what Profound charges. If you are still mapping the category rather than replacing one tool, start with what these trackers measure.

Five AIs, one question: the best Promptwatch alternatives

Of the pages we read at the top of Google for this search, none shows what the AIs answer when you ask them directly. So on we put that question to ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity and Grok, with the same engine that runs Placton’s dashboard.

Named by one AI: Visiblee (Grok), Geoptie (Grok), Promptmonitor (Grok), AirOps (Claude), Airefs (Grok), Mentionova (Perplexity), Omnia (Claude), ZeroRank (Claude), Semrush (Claude).

The AIs are reading the same vendor lists you are. ChatGPT and Perplexity both cited SE Visible’s list, and each of Grok’s five citations is a vendor’s own page. Claude’s answer warned, in its first lines, that most comparisons are written by the vendors themselves. That warning applies to every page in this category.

Check prices at the source. Otterly.AI at $29, Scrunch at $250 and AthenaHQ at $295 matched what we read on their own pages. ChatGPT and Google’s answer also gave Profound a $99 entry price, and the brand section of its pricing page, read the same day, lists only a free trial and a custom Enterprise plan.

One day, one reading. Each AI answered once, from the United States, in English. A second run the next day would shuffle some names, so Placton keeps asking and publishes what it does about that margin of error.

About the Content Agent. Its Content Agents page says drafts are built from your citation and gap data, every draft goes to a review inbox, and nothing publishes without approval unless you turn on a hands-off mode. That part is well thought out. Placton’s Writer takes a narrower route: it starts from one tracked question and leaves marked gaps for facts it cannot know, so it needs you in the loop every time. If you want an agent working on a schedule while you sleep, Placton is not it.

Promptwatch or Placton: what each one covers

Placton exists for one reason on this table: measuring what five AIs say about you, with more people in and drafts included, for less. Everything else Promptwatch does, it does and Placton does not.

What the same question looks like inside Placton

Tracking is where Placton starts, not where it stops. Three parts of the dashboard pick up from a reading like the one above.

Where you are missing

One row per question, one chip per AI

Say you were Rankscale. You would see at a glance which AIs brought you up for this question and which went with someone else, and you would see who took your place. Chips go red when no answer names you, orange below half and green from half up.

From that row you open the answers themselves, and you can start a text aimed at that question.

Real data: this view for Rankscale, one of the tools in the reading above, one answer per AI, November 2, 2026.

Improvements

A few tasks a week, with the evidence stated

Promptwatch’s Action Board is broader. Placton’s list is deliberately short: 3 tasks a week on Starter, 5 on Growth, 8 on Scale, drawn from 17 fixed actions. Each one states whether it rests on strong evidence, medium evidence or a bet, and names the pages that decide the question.

A week later it goes back to those pages to check whether anything moved. Expect a few points over eight weeks where the AI searches the web, and little or nothing where it recalls a fixed list. Placton never contacts anyone for you.

A sketch of one task, not a screenshot. The two pages exist: both were cited in this reading, and we went through them on November 2, 2026.

Writer

A draft you finish, with the gaps marked

You pick a tracked question and choose an article or a ranking. Its research is what the AIs answered and cited, what ranks on Google, and your site, and the draft takes a minute or two. Figures, customers and opinions it cannot know stay as visible gaps instead of being made up.

Starter includes 5 texts, Growth 15, Scale 40 and the trial 1. You edit in place and copy or export the result. A published text does not guarantee any AI will name you. It gives them something better to read.

Example data: brand, question and draft are invented to show the format. The marked gap is what you fill in.

Promptwatch alternatives for agencies: the math by client count

Promptwatch charges a flat fee and meters responses. Placton charges $15 per client plus a price per prompt. The two lines cross quickly, so run your own numbers.

Monthly billing, our math. Placton asks ChatGPT and AI Overviews daily and the other three weekly, so in volume of data it sits between Promptwatch’s two columns. Promptwatch’s agency plans: its pricing page, read .

With up to about five brands, Placton costs the same or less, covers five AIs and includes 3 texts per client, which Promptwatch’s agency plans do not. At ten, it depends on how many AIs you need every day. By thirty, Promptwatch is far cheaper. If that is your book, stay, or look at SE Visible’s €355 plan with 30 projects and about 180,000 answers.

What each one lacks for client work. Placton has no white label, no combined dashboard across clients and no API. Promptwatch’s agency plans have no articles, and one account means one invoice, with clients separated by project. Its own pages disagree on where white label sits, so ask before you promise it. For how Placton handles client reporting, see the agency page.

How each tracker gets its answers

Two tools can report different numbers for the same question, because they do not ask the same way. Most lists stop at “it tracks ChatGPT”. This is what Promptwatch and Placton each say they do.

* On paid plans. ChatGPT is read on chatgpt.com in every country Placton tracks except Venezuela and Puerto Rico, where it is asked weekly through its API.

Live search or memory matters more than the logo. Promptwatch splits its list in two: live-search platforms, which return citations, and API models, which it says mostly answer from training knowledge unless a search tool is attached, as with Claude and the coding assistants. It does not say Grok has one. Before you count models, ask which ones can actually see your site today.

The fair objection to Placton. Promptwatch argues that an API answer from a search-enabled model is not what an app user sees. That point lands on Placton’s Perplexity, Claude and Grok readings, which go through APIs with live search, as the methodology spells out. Elsewhere, SE Visible says it reads through a real browser session, and Peec AI labels its API models on its price table.

Fast-moving products leave old text behind, and its changelog has entries from this very week. None of this is a scandal, but it changes what you should ask before you pay.

Promptwatch reviews: what buyers say, and how much it counts

A short list of reviews, some with an incentive attached. Read it as a hint rather than a verdict.

G2. Its Promptwatch page (opens in a new tab) held 4.6 out of 5 from 22 reviews on , while Promptwatch’s pricing page advertises 4.7. G2’s summary on its alternatives page (opens in a new tab) praises a data-forward approach, ease of setup, an intuitive interface and frequent updates, and mentions a steeper learning curve and a narrow focus on AI answers. We could read the score and that summary, not the individual reviews.

The incentive. Promptwatch’s long reference file says Essential and Professional customers who review it on G2 earn 2,000 extra agent credits a month. That is four times Essential’s monthly credits. We are not saying the reviews are false, only that the base is small and has a reason to be kind. It also runs affiliate and creator programs, so some of the glowing posts you find may carry a commission.

Capterra. One review (opens in a new tab), dated May 19, 2025, from a head of marketing on a free trial, headlined “Very useful insights to grow your AI visibility”. It predates the current plans.

Trustpilot. A claimed profile (opens in a new tab) with no reviews at all on . That says little either way, but it does mean you will not find unprompted complaints there.

Other reviewers. Generate More, an agency, gave it 4.0 out of 5 in December 2025 and called it a favorite among 15+ tools, with more interface glitches than others and content it would edit heavily before using. That is nearly a year and several plan changes old. Most other reviews come from vendors in this same market, which they mostly disclose.

What we could not read. No text came through from Product Hunt or Reddit, so we say nothing about them. We have not used its paid dashboard either, so “it feels complex” is other people’s view, not ours.

How to move off Promptwatch and keep a baseline

The risk in moving to any Promptwatch alternative is not losing data. It is losing the ability to compare this month with last month. The order below protects that.

  1. Check your billing and your packaging

Yearly plans are paid up front, so the cheap moment to move is near renewal. Its help says your limits are the ones current when you last started or changed your plan, so yours may differ from the table above.

  2. Take your data out while you pay

Its page for AI assistants lists CSV exports of prompts, responses, citations and crawler data, and every plan has an API. We did not check which export sits on which plan, so try yours early and save the list of prompts and competitors first.

  3. Copy the questions by hand, same market

Placton does not import another tool’s history. Use the same country and language in both tools, or the numbers will not be comparable. Start with the 20 to 50 questions closest to a purchase.

  4. Run both for a week

7 days of Placton ends before your next Promptwatch invoice if you time it well, with up to 10 prompts and no card. Compare the AIs both track, ChatGPT and AI Overviews first, and read the trend over the week, because single days swing.

  5. Expect the trend line to restart

Two tools ask at different moments and read answers differently, so a level shift on switch day means little. Keep your last Promptwatch export as a reference, and judge the new tool by who it names and which pages it cites.

  6. Replace what you actually used

If you relied on crawler logs, Peec AI is the closest on price. For publishing, keep your CMS workflow and paste the text. For the API, pick from the feature table above, because Placton does not have one.

When Promptwatch is still the right tool

In these cases a cheaper tracker costs you more than it saves on the invoice:

You work from crawler logs or attributed visits

Promptwatch reads logs from your CDN and tracks visits with its own script. Placton does neither, so losing that means buying something else as well.

You publish straight from the tool

WordPress, Webflow and Framer are in every plan, and a Content Agent can write on a schedule on Business. With Placton you copy or export, and you press publish yourself.

Gemini, AI Mode, Copilot or coding assistants matter

Its table lists 14 models, including Codex and Claude Code. Placton asks five, and Google AI there means AI Overviews only.

Your reporting runs on API, MCP or Data Studio

Moving means rebuilding those connections first, and Placton has none to move them to. If you need them elsewhere, the feature table above shows where each one starts.

You need daily data on everything, or hourly

50 prompts on four AIs fit Essential every day, and Business reaches hourly. Placton refreshes three of its five AIs weekly.

You run an agency with many brands

Above roughly ten brands, its flat agency plans come out far cheaper than Placton’s price per client. Run the table in the agency section with your own numbers.

One person, one brand, 50 questions on four AIs

That is exactly what Essential was built for. If the seat, the articles and the logs do not bother you, the case for moving is weak.

Promptwatch alternatives: the questions people ask

About Placton itself? Read the full FAQs or see every plan and price.

What is the best Promptwatch alternative?

It depends on what pushed you out. To track your brand for less, with drafts and two seats, Placton from $59. For the lowest bill, Otterly.AI from $29. For the same price with the whole team inside, Peec AI at $95. For enterprise security reviews, Profound. If you need logs, publishing and an API together, stay. Prices read on November 2, 2026.

Who are the main competitors of Promptwatch?

Peec AI and Profound came up in all five AI answers we read on November 2, 2026, and Otterly.AI, AthenaHQ and Scrunch in four. In Google’s top results you also see SE Visible, Rankscale and ZipTie. Placton competes on the tracking part, with a lower entry price and fewer features.

How much does Promptwatch cost?

Essential is $95 a month ($79 billed yearly), Professional $245 ($204), Business $579 ($483) and Enterprise is custom. Agency plans are $199, $399 and $799. Yearly billing charges 10 months for 12. All per its pricing page, read on November 2, 2026.

Does Promptwatch have a free plan or free trial?

There is a 7-day trial on monthly billing for Essential, Professional and the two smaller agency plans. Its help describes a free Explore tier with 10 prompts on ChatGPT only, but it is not on the visible pricing table, and another of its pages says there is no free plan. Its site does not say whether the trial needs a card, and we did not sign up to find out.

How many AI models does Promptwatch track on each plan?

Its pricing table lists 14 and says every paid plan tracks all of them, with Grok in its FAQ as well. In practice the response cap decides: Essential has room for 40 prompts a day on five AIs and 14 on all 14. Two of its own pages still say 4 per project, so test it in the trial.

What happens when you reach the Promptwatch response limit?

Its help says no further responses are generated and monitoring pauses until usage resets or you raise the limit. It can warn you as you get close. Add-ons raise agent credits and articles, not responses, and a slower cadence is off by default, enabled per organization by sales.

Which Promptwatch plan includes articles and crawler logs?

Professional at $245 is the first with both: 5 articles a month, shared with content refresh, and 25 million crawler log events. Business at $579 doubles the articles and adds the automatic Content Agent. Essential at $95 has neither, and agency plans have logs but no articles.

How many seats does Promptwatch include?

1 on Essential, 2 on Professional, 5 on Business and 10 on agency plans, with pending invitations counted. Otterly.AI, Peec AI, LLM Pulse and SE Visible allow unlimited users on every plan. Placton gives 2 on Starter, 10 on Growth and unlimited on Scale.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Promptwatch?

Yes. Otterly.AI starts at $29 with 15 prompts, LLM Pulse at $58 with 50 prompts refreshed weekly, Placton at $59 with 20 prompts and a writer, and LLMrefs at $79 with 500 prompts refreshed at least weekly. Per answer, though, Promptwatch is cheaper than Placton at every step.

More plans under $100 a month

Is Placton a replacement for Promptwatch?

For tracking what five AIs say about your brand and your rivals, yes, at a lower price and with more seats, plus drafted texts from $59. For crawler logs, visit attribution, publishing, Content Agent, API, MCP, Gemini, AI Mode, Copilot, hourly refresh, city data or shopping, no. Pick it only if you do not use those.

See what each Placton plan includes

Is Promptwatch good for agencies?

With many brands, yes. From $199 it gives unlimited projects and prompts and 10 seats, and the only real limit is responses. Those plans have no articles, and its pages disagree on where white label sits. With just a few brands, Placton’s Agency plan costs less: $77 for 3 brands and 20 prompts.

How Placton works for agencies

What do users say about Promptwatch?

The base is small. G2 shows 4.6 out of 5 from 22 reviews on November 2, 2026, Promptwatch advertises 4.7, Capterra has a single review from May 2025 and Trustpilot none. Praise goes to setup, data depth and frequent updates. Complaints mention a learning curve and price. Promptwatch gives Essential and Professional customers 2,000 extra agent credits a month for reviewing it on G2, which is worth knowing as you read.

What does Reddit say about Promptwatch?

We cannot tell you. Threads exist, including a list of Promptwatch alternatives in a small subreddit about these tools, but no text came through when we tried to read them, and we will not summarize what we have not read. It is worth searching yourself, and worth checking whether the poster sells one of the tools.

Can I move my data from Promptwatch to Placton?

Not automatically: Placton has no import. You copy your questions and competitors by hand and its history starts on day one. Keep a Promptwatch export as your reference, and run both for a week with up to 10 prompts on Placton’s free trial.

How did you get Promptwatch’s numbers?

From each maker’s own pages on November 2, 2026, Promptwatch’s help center, and the answers of five AIs to one question that day. Counts such as prompts per plan are our own math from its published formula. We have not used Promptwatch’s paid dashboard, and we could not read Reddit or Product Hunt.

The short version: which Promptwatch alternative to pick

Promptwatch is a strong, broad product, and most Promptwatch alternatives win by being narrower. So decide what you actually use. If it is the tracking and you are short on seats or budget, Placton at $59 gives you five AIs, two seats and drafts, and Peec AI at $95 gives you everyone inside with crawl data. If money is the only issue, Otterly.AI starts at $29. If a weekly read is enough, LLM Pulse and LLMrefs track far more questions per dollar.

If you use the logs, the publishing, the API or a long list of AIs, the better answer is to stay on Professional or Business, and to use the sliders above to pick the right one. Whatever you choose, run the same questions in both tools for a week before you cancel anything.
