Affiliate program terms
Version 2026-10-19
1. Who we are
The Placton affiliate program (the “Program”) is run by SELSPY AGENCY S. COOP., tax ID (NIF) F75988824, Paseo la Fuente 9, 4.º A, 30007 Murcia (Spain), owner of Placton (“Placton”, “we” or “us”). SELSPY AGENCY S. COOP. is the party you contract with and the one that pays your commissions. You can write to us at contact@placton.tech.
2. Who can join
- You must be of legal age and have a Placton account with a confirmed email address. You do not need to be a customer.
- You must live in a country where we can pay you through Stripe: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States. We may add countries later.
- If you live in Spain, you must be registered with the Spanish tax agency as a freelancer (autónomo) or a company (form 036 or 037) to get paid: without it we can record your commissions but we cannot pay them (section 7).
- You take part as an independent professional or business, on your own account. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, agency, partnership or exclusive relationship.
- We may decline an application or close an account that does not meet these terms.
3. Your link and which customers count
- When you join you get a link with your code (placton.tech/?via=CODE), valid on any page of the site. You may choose a name for your link once; it cannot be changed afterwards and your code keeps working. We may reject names that are reserved, misleading or that imitate Placton or other brands.
- A customer counts for you (a “Referred Customer”) when they create a new Placton account through your link, or type your code in the sign-up form, and then pay for a subscription. Attribution is set once, when the account is created, and does not change afterwards.
- Not counted: your own accounts or those of people acting for you; people invited to an existing workspace; people or brands that already had a Placton account, trial or subscription; workspaces you are a member of; and payments made with a card already linked to you or to another of your Referred Customers, which we may review.
4. Commission
- You earn 35% of each subscription payment made by a Referred Customer, calculated on the amount actually paid, before VAT and other taxes and after discounts, during the 6 calendar months that follow their first payment. Payments for any workspace paid for by that customer count.
- If a payment covers a period that goes beyond those 6 months (for example, a yearly plan), only the part of the period inside them counts. On a yearly plan paid at the start, that is half of the year (6 of 12 months).
- Refunds, credit notes, chargebacks and credits reduce the commission of the payment they affect, in proportion. We process them for up to 12 months after the 6 months end. If the commission was already sent to you, we deduct it from your next commissions or recover it from your Stripe balance.
- Prices are in US dollars. We calculate the commission in the currency of each invoice and convert it to euros at the rate Stripe applies to that charge. Your commissions and payouts are in euros. If your bank account uses another currency, Stripe converts it, and that conversion is at your cost.
5. Holds and review
- Each commission is held for 30 days before it can be paid out, and for 60 days for the first payment of each Referred Customer and for yearly plans.
- We may keep a commission under review, without a date, if Stripe or our bank warn of possible fraud, if the charge is disputed or if we see signs of self-referral or a breach of these terms. A commission on a disputed charge is paid if the dispute is resolved in our favour and cancelled if it is lost.
- If a commission that is already in your Stripe balance goes under review or dispute, or if your account is suspended, we take it back to our account until it is resolved, so that it is not paid to your bank in the meantime. If it is resolved in your favour, we send it to you again.
6. Payouts
- We pay through Stripe Connect into an Express account in your name. Stripe checks your identity and your bank account under its own terms (the Stripe Connected Account Agreement), which you accept when you set up your account. The country of your account is fixed when you create it.
- Your commissions reach your Stripe balance and we pay them to your bank on the 5th of each month once the balance whose hold has ended reaches €50 (or its equivalent in the currency of your account). If none of your Referred Customers is still within their 6 months, we pay whatever you have, with no minimum. If you have a balance, no more than 3 months pass between payouts.
- Amounts under 1 euro are not sent on their own: they add up until they reach 1 euro or go with your next commission. If no more commissions are coming, we send them anyway.
- The payout schedule of your Stripe account is managed by us. Trying to change it, or to withdraw funds that are still on hold, is a breach of these terms.
7. Taxes
- You are responsible for declaring your income and paying your taxes in the country where you live.
- If you live in Spain and are registered with the tax agency as a freelancer (autónomo) or a company (form 036 or 037), we need your tax details before paying you. In mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands we add 21% VAT to your commissions. If you are a freelancer, we withhold 15% income tax, or 7% if you give us the signed statement that you started your activity this year or in the previous two years.
- If you live in Spain, you accept, with a separate checkbox, that SELSPY AGENCY S. COOP. issues your invoices on your behalf (self-billing). We email you each invoice when we issue it, and you can see and download it in your affiliate settings; if you do not report an error within 15 days of that email, it is considered accepted. Errors are corrected with a rectifying invoice.
- If you live outside mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands, we pay the commission without Spanish VAT. If Spanish law requires us to withhold tax on payments to non-residents, we will do so and tell you; we may ask you for a certificate of tax residence to apply a tax treaty.
8. How you may promote Placton
You must:
- clearly say that it is an affiliate link in every post, video, email or message where you share it (for example “affiliate link” or “#ad”), as the law where you publish requires;
- describe Placton honestly, without claims about results, rankings or prices that are false or that you cannot support;
- comply with the laws on advertising, consumer protection, data protection and electronic communications that apply to you.
You must not:
- send unsolicited messages (spam) by email, SMS, WhatsApp, social networks or any other channel;
- bid on “Placton” or its variants or misspellings in search ads, or use them in domains, profiles or ads that could be taken for ours;
- publish your link or code on coupon, discount or deal sites, or promise discounts that do not exist;
- use pop-ups, pop-unders, forced redirects, hidden frames, cookie stuffing or any technique that attributes visits without the person choosing to click;
- pay or reward people for signing up or subscribing, or refer yourself or people acting for you;
- present yourself as Placton or as part of our team.
9. Breach
If you break these terms we may suspend or close your account, cancel the commissions not yet paid and recover those affected by the breach. Where possible we will tell you why first and give you the chance to explain.
10. Privacy
- We process your data to run the Program, pay you and meet our tax obligations, under these terms and the law. Stripe receives your data to verify your identity and pay you, as an independent controller. We share with the tax authorities what the law requires, and we keep tax records for 6 years. More in our privacy policy.
- About your Referred Customers you only see that they signed up and paid, their plan, which month of their commission they are in and the amount before VAT of each payment on which you earn a commission. Never their name, email, company or any other personal details. You may not try to identify them.
11. Leaving the Program
You can leave the Program at any time from your affiliate settings. From then on your link no longer counts new customers and you earn no new commissions; what you had already earned is still paid to you under these terms (you need your payouts set up in Stripe to receive it). We may change or end the Program with 30 days' notice by email; commissions already earned under these terms will be paid.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If the changes are relevant, we will email you at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep taking part after that date, you accept them; if you do not agree, you can leave the Program.
13. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you under the Program is limited to the commissions paid to you in the 12 months before the event that gives rise to it. This does not apply in case of wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
14. Law and courts
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of Murcia (Spain).
